Who we are

Our Story

The experience with implementing Project Vasant Udyaan taught us that larger and critical ecological challenges can be solved at the smaller locality level with effective stakeholder participation. And so, what started as a citizens movement in 2015, has today become ‘Citizen Action for Water Sustainability’, a for-profit subsidiary of GM Martin Trust, that focuses on addressing critical ecological challenges through customized community based solutions and multi-stakeholder engagement.

We are resource builders who work with various stakeholders such as government departments, communities like RWAs and citizen groups, think tanks and the private sector, to provide innovative, cost-effective and accessible technological solutions to amplify and resolve environmental issues at the local level. Through our story we hope to demonstrate a workable circular model that citizens of any city can use as a framework to create impactful changes in their own cities. And in the process, transform cities that are inclusive, culturally-rich, ecologically diverse, water-rich, and resilient to changes in climate.
